Burke Stone Supply is a family run stone yard on Marshwood Road in Throop, Pennsylvania. We stock genuine Pennsylvania blue pattern and full color bluestone in both thermal and natural cleft finishes, pattern flagging, broken flagstone, pavers, colonial steppers, step treads, thin tile and fieldstone wallrock — everything a mason, landscaper or homeowner needs to finish a job in real stone.
The Pennsylvania part matters. Our material comes off the Endless Mountains that runs through this corner of the state — a dense, low-absorption sandstone that handles freeze-thaw winters, salt and plows. A lot of what gets sold as "bluestone" today is softer imported sandstone or limestone shipped in from overseas, dyed or resined for color and thin-gauged to save on freight. It photographs well and then fails on the patio. We do not stock it, and we will tell you plainly how to spot it.
We buy direct and sort in our own yard, which keeps pricing honest and quality consistent. Contractors come to us because the pallets are clean, the thicknesses are true and the loads go out on time. Homeowners come to us because we will spend the time walking the yard with you and explaining the difference between a natural cleft stepper and a thermal step tread.
